Call for Young Musicians Worldwide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 2026 Vancouver International Music Festival\u2013Competition<\/strong> warmly welcomes young musicians from around the world to participate in the fourth edition of this international event in Vancouver, Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrating its ninth year of artistic development<\/strong>, the competition continues its three-year artistic cycle and returns in 2026 with renewed vision and expanded opportunities for emerging musicians. As part of the \u6e29\u54e5\u534e\u56fd\u9645\u97f3\u4e50\u8282<\/strong>, the competition brings together outstanding young artists to perform on an international stage and to engage in artistic exchange, performance, and education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Competition aims to nurture the next generation of musical voices while promoting excellence, cultural dialogue, and the enduring values of classical music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition is open to performers in the following categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • \u94a2\u7434\u7ec4<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u5f26\u4e50\u7ec4<\/strong>\u00a0(Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Harp, Guitar)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u6728\u7ba1\u4e50<\/strong>\u00a0(Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Basson, Saxophone)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u58f0\u4e50\u7ec4<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Participants will be grouped into the following age divisions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • \u5c11\u513f\u7ec4<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Age 8 and under (not for Woodwinds & Voice)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • \u5c11\u5e74\u7ec4\uff1a9-12\u5c81 \uff08\u4e0d\u5bf9\u58f0\u4e50\u5f00\u653e\uff09<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Ages 9\u201312 (not for Voice)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • \u9752\u5e74\u6f14\u594f\u5bb6\u7ec4<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Ages 13\u201317<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • \u827a\u672f\u5bb6\u7ec4\uff1a18\u201335\u5c81<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Ages 18\u201335<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Competition Structure<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

      The competition consists of two rounds<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The preliminary round will be conducted through video submission<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Video submission deadline:<\/strong>
      June 15, 2026 (11:59 PM Pacific Time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      All submissions will be reviewed by an international jury panel, and selected candidates will advance to the final round in Vancouver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Final Round (Live Performance in Vancouver)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Finalists will be invited to perform live in Vancouver before an international jury panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Outstanding finalists will be selected for prizes and performance opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Gala Concert<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

      Date: October 11, 2026 2pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Venue: Orpheum Theatre, 601 Smith St. Vancouver (TBC)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Prize winners will be invited to perform at the\u00a0Vancouver International Music Competition Gala Concert<\/strong>, celebrating the achievements of the competition\u2019s top artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The Gala Concert will present the winners in a special performance event attended by musicians, educators, and members of the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
