The 2024 Vancouver International Music Festival (VIMF) is a multiday celebration of classical music that brings together musicians and audiences from around the world. Organized by the Canada International Arts & Music Society (CIAMS), the festival features instrumental categories of piano, violin, cello, harp, flute, clarinet, guzheng, pipa, piano duo/duet, concerto, and chamber music performances and masterclasses. From Baroque to contemporary, the festival showcases a diverse range of classical music styles and forms, performed by artists-in-residence and young talented musicians of different ages and levels of experience. The VIMF will take place during the week of August 20-25, 2024, at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra School of Music. The festival is open to the public, with daily concerts/recitals and workshops for both children, youth, and adults. Whether you’re a music enthusiast or a seasoned musician, the VIMF is the perfect opportunity to explore new musical horizons, connect with like-minded individuals, and be inspired by the beauty and power of classical music.
