2026 VIMFC Final Round & Gala Concert — The Stage Is Set
The 2026 Vancouver International Music Festival-Competition (VIMFC) is approaching its most exciting stage.
Following months of preparation and a highly competitive selection process, outstanding young musicians will come together in Vancouver for the 2026 VIMFC Final Round on October 9, competing in four categories: Piano, Strings, Voice, and Woodwinds.
The competition will culminate on October 11 with the 2026 VIMFC Gala Concert & Awards Ceremony at the historic Orpheum Theatre, where top honours will be announced and award recipients will take the stage in celebration of musical excellence, dedication, and achievement.

October 11 | 2026 VIMFC Gala Concert & Awards Ceremony
Following the Final Round, the celebration continues at one of Vancouver’s most iconic performing arts venues — the Orpheum Theatre.

The Gala Concert will celebrate the highest achievements of the 2026 competition, with awards presented and selected top prize recipients performing on the historic Orpheum stage.
The afternoon will also feature a special guest performance by two distinguished members of the 2026 VIMFC jury — acclaimed Canadian pianist Ian Parker and violinist Domagoj Ivanovic.
