Sean Bickerton has spent his entire life dedicated to music, studying violin, french horn, piano, singing and acting in his youth, later playing violin professionally in the Victoria Symphony Orchestra while studying violin performance at the University of Victoria. Currently BC Director of the Canadian Music Centre, he was previously Executive Director of the Vancouver Recital Society, and Vice President of Columbia Artists Management Inc. in New York, where he produced North American tours for celebrated European orchestras, managed Grammy Award-winning artists including Yehudi Menuhin and Aaron Rosand, and produced concerts and events in Europe, the US, and Asia. Sean is a co-founder of KultureShock.Net, a website service for more than 160 performing artists including the Emerson String Quartet and Maestro Bramwell Tovey, and has presented web and social media seminars for the Manhattan School of Music, Opera Magazine, the Van Cliburn Competition and Chamber Music America. He has served on the City of Vancouver’s Arts & Culture Policy Council, and the Board of Directors for both the Vancouver Recital Society and Langley Community Music School.
